The DEC’AUTEX observatory of the interior vehicle is a communal market
research led
by the Pôle Textile Alsace and the Pôle Véhicule du
Futur clusters. The observatory has been conducted by
INX auto&mobile.
The members of the
observatory are manufacturers, car
equipment makers, subcontractors, research
centers, designers & schools (22 members in
2006 and 28 in 2007 thanks to the integration
of new European companies).
Communal
market watch (professionals and
consumers) :
State of the interior vehicle art on
the technical, the marketing and the design
sides based on several sources such as
magazines, shows, the Internet, meetings with
manufacturers, car equipment makers and
other industries that influence the cab interior.
Deliverable : 16 issues/year by email
2 nations (France & Germany), 100
interviews mixing individual and small
group stages.
Consumer
Market Research
:
Consumers market research on the
perceived, experienced, expected quality in
order to identify criteria, current and future
expectations (obvious, latent) concerning the
interior vehicle :
100 customers/drivers tests (couples/family
cells), estimate individually their own recent
vehicle as well as others as comparison;
secondly they imagine and test trends of
interior vehicles in small groups (creativity) .
Deliverable : 1 report + 1 feedback meeting
mid-June 2008
Trend
book and concept of interiors 2010/2015 :
Trend book (references and counterreferences,
photomontages, styles board), with
the descriptive technical files that complete
and materialize the trends.
This book will also include the synthesis, the
important facts of the market watches and of
the professional and customer consumers
market research.
